Organized by

The Future Is Female Festival is a cross-country event this March, in which individuals and theatre companies are hosting productions or readings of ten-minute plays written by women of all backgrounds on the subject “the future is female,” and what that looks like and/or means to them. With 26 outposts in 18 cities from coast-to-coast (and Canada), our voices are joined together and amplified; the festival will feature work by about 130 women reaching over 2,000 audience members.

Instead of spending the month celebrating women’s history, we’ll celebrate women’s futures.
